I am a composer, and I have long been an admirer of the unique musicality of your ensemble. I hope you will continue to come to my country and perform, regradless of the gimlet-eyed extremists who plague some of your concerts. I would also be very interested to know if you play any contemporary Israeli music. We need to know more about your composers and find them a platform here in the furure.

I hope to visit your country in due course.

In Danish Radio I heard your concert on the 29th of march in Wigmore Hall. It was delightful to listen to your wonderful performance. I hope that the barbarians who interrupted your concert, instead of trying to destroy other peoples pleasure would start taking lessons in playing string instruments so they could give us a concert. However some people like to build up - others wants to destroy.

I had the great pleasure of hearing you in London several years ago playing Shostakovich, and I have had much joy from your recordings, especially the Haydn. I was deeply distressed to hear about the disruptions at the Wigmore Hall, and could not miss saying how inappropriate I believe it was.

So it is perhaps the right time to thank you for the music, and to say that I look forward to the next chance I may have to hear you live. In the mean time - more recordings, please! (Beethoven? when?), and I will continue to suggest to our chamber music series here at the University of Washington that we need to hear you here!
